Hardware Engineer
- Bluetooth controllers related chip/firmware programming
- Electronic Engineering (PCB design development etc.), soldering etc.
- Mechanical/material engineering skills - knowing limits of components (wires, etc, stress testing etc.)
- Good problem solving skills, thinking outside the box, willing to dive in.
- Able to own projects start to finish: Ask the question, develop the plan of attack, execute the plan, analyze the results, discover and correct original misconceptions, tweak the output, and finally communicate the whole story
- Is open to being wrong and upfront about admitting mistakes
- Independent projects that demonstrate an ability to handle messy data to produce something meaningful and interesting a plus
- A deep understanding of the Bluetooth protocol stacks – both the "classic" and Low Energy stacks – from the physical layer all the way up to the application profiles.
- Versatility: You have generalist software development skills and can work across the complete our software stack when necessary.
- Experience developing software for devices that use multiple Bluetooth "classic" profiles (SPP, MAP, AVRCP, etc.)
- Experience working with Bluetooth stacks such as Bluetopia, BlueCore/Synergy, BlueMagic, BlueZ, etc.
- Bluetooth debugging skills, including use of packet sniffers and protocol analyzers such as Frontline's ComProbe BPA and Ellisys' Bluetooth Explorer.
- Experience with app-enabled accessories for iOS or Android smartphones
- Bluetooth audio experience
