App developer

SmartMat is looking for talented front-end App developers & designers to help shape & build the vision of our next app generation of Apps, including the SmartMat App interface & Marketplace.

Candidates will be expected to identify problems, inefficiencies and opportunities in our system, and then act on them. Ideally, we're looking for talent that goes beyond coding, to people who can make smart business decisions, and are inspired by driving growth through consumer facing features and internal web-tools like:

Common to both platforms

• Knowledge of Computer Vision theory and Image Processing concepts (image recognition, etc.)
• C++ language skills
• Database design skills, SQLite skills
• Object Oriented Programming skills
• Good Software Engineering knowledge, e.g. designing and porting Pseudo code to usable code
• Comfortable with compiling sources, gcc, etc.
• Comfortable with versioning systems, e.g. Git& SVN.
• OpenCV knowledge preferable but not essential if willing/able to learn quickly.
